As we start to pay more attention to what we put in our bodies, we are becoming more aware of what we put on our bodies as well. Afterall, skin is the largest human organ, and it absorbs whatever you apply on it.
You will notice if you look at the typical soap, skincare, or cosmetics ingredients list, you will often see a list of chemicals and preservatives. These ingredients are often added not for the health of your skin, but to make a larger profit for the company, longer shelf life, emulsifier, thickener… the list goes on! After learning how the fda does not extensively regulate the ingredients for beauty products, I started making my own skin care that was organic and free of these toxic ingredients. I started giving out my products to my friends/family, they told me I should start selling this stuff. And so.. here I am.
When I look at how the world is, what we buy for our health, our skin, how we want to prevent aging..I basically see it as we are wanting to prevent and slow down the process of, basically.. dying.
But as we all know (but try not to think about it), death is inevitable. Yet in our society, it’s such a taboo topic. I thought it was a funny paradox to name my brand Antideath. Death is a part of life, and if we all thought more about how it can end at any moment, we most likely wouldn’t take so much for granted. I think it would help make the world a better place.
